Faculty Profile

Rev. Dr. T. Jacob Thomas is Professor and Head of the Department of Theology & Ethics. He is an M.A. holder from the Kerala University. Dr. Thomas, who is an ordained Priest of the Mar Thoma Church, has secured M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Theology and Ethics from the Union Theological Seminary, New York. He has a long experience of teaching at several recognised institutions such as Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, Federated Faculty of Research in Religion and Culture, Bishops' College and so on. He is a prolific writer and has published a number of books and articles.

Rev. Dr. D. W. Jesudoss is Professor in the Department of Theology & Ethics. He is the former Principal of Gurukul Lutheran Theological College & Research Institute. Dr. Jesudoss, who has B.A. and B.T. from Madras University, has further secured his M.Th. in Christian Theology from the Senate of Serampore College and D.Th. in Systematic Theology, Missiology from Erlangen University, Germany. He is an ordained Pastor of the Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church and has served the church in various capacities. He was in the faculty of Tamilnadu Theological Seminary for 12 years prior to his service at Gurukul. He is a well known writer and scholar and has published a number of articles and books.

Rev. Dr. Samuel W. Meshack is a Professor in the Department of Theology & Ethics and Head of the Department of Communication. He holds a B.Sc. from Mysore University, B.Ed., from Bangalore University, B.D. & M.Th. from the Senate of Serampore College and with a Ph.D. from University of Leicester, U.K. As ordained minister of Indian Evangelical Lutheran Church, he had been a pastor for a number of years. He is a resource person of eminence, having written a number of articles and books on Communication.
