Faculty Profile

Dr. Ms. Monica J. Melanchthon is Professor of Old Testament Studies and Head of the Department of Women' Studies. She finished her B.A. from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore and B.D. from The United Theological College, Bangalore. Prof. Melanchthon has a Ph.D. in Old Testament from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago and has published quite a number of articles in leading international journals. She hails from Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church and is a recognised feminist theologian. She holds various positions in LWF and other like organisations.

Prof. S. Jaganathan is Assistant Professor in the Department of Old Testament Studies.

Rev. Nagaiyaswamy N. S. Samuel is Assistant Professor in the Department of Old Testament Studies.

Mr. T. Babu is Assistant Professor of Old Testament Studies. He secured B.D. and M.Th. in Old Testament from the Senate of Serampore College. He is a member of the Indian Evangelical Lutheran Church and has served as a Catechist. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. studies under Prof. Hartenstein at Missions Akademie (Academy of Mission), University of Hamburg, Germany.
